Special Educational Needs

SENDCo: Kirsty Birdsall

Working alongside an experienced and skilled team, at Appletree Nursery we are lucky to have an experienced Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO), Kirsty Birdsall, and Headteacher, Lucy Naylor, who have over 30 years experience in inclusion. We have a range of needs in setting and staff that are experienced in meeting those needs. Our nursery practitioners receive regular training and an emphasis is made on learning through experiences and targeted learning interactions for all children regardless of their needs.

At Appletree Nursery School we will work together to meet the unique needs of each child be that, English as an Additional Language, SEND or Medical Needs and recognise the personal and emotional investment of parents and families.
